Forty-five per cent feel guilty because they don't perform a key role in helping others such as a carer or charity worker.
A similar proportion have considered changing careers to do something more fulfilling.
But about a fifth are unsure how to make the change - and have doubts about how they would cope in a new role.
Melissa Moore of BUPA Care Homes said: 'This year has really shone a light on the people making a difference so it's no surprise to see people taking stock of their own careers.'
As Socialists we want the workers to make a difference by realising that the solution to the many problems that exist in the world is to establish
together on a worldwide basis Socialism.
Socialism will not have the many problems we have at present.
