Away in a Manger
Away in a manger - no means for a bed
The poor of the world lay down their sweet head
The Landlords in their penthouse look down where they lay
They pray for the poor - on Christmas Day
At the first light of dawning the needy awake
Ever grateful and happy, no complaining they make
I love thee dear Landlord looking down from the sky
We are thankful we're low - so you can be high
Be near me dear Landlord I ask you to stay
Close by me for ever I will love thee I pray
Bless all us dear tenants in thy tender care
And fit us for heaven - where we'll rent from you there
