The Guardian report carried the headline "Eastern European immigration 'has hit low-paid Britons' "
The article said Eastern European immigration had "...reduced wages slightly at the bottom end of the labour market" [ our emphasis ]
The article said "contribution of the new migrants to the UK's economy is "probably small but positive " [ our emphasis ]
The article then goes on to quote the reports authors , the Equality and Human Rights Commission "This report highlights the need to provide help for the most vulnerable, with evidence that many eastern European workers may be in precarious employment circumstances and suffering exploitation in some industries," [ our emphasis ]
The question SOYMB asks is why did the Guardian headline not say "New Immigrants exploited by British Employers" ????
