Due to a security incident, the
websites for the World
Socialist Movement and the Socialist
Party of Great Britain are currently down
for extended maintenance. The Socialist
Standard published without interruption
since 1904, was therefore unable to publish the web
version in the usual manner on their website. So this
is for the time being, an unusual version, using
