Xmas Expenses

The cost of a traditional Christmas dinner has risen three times faster than wages this year, according to research from the TUC.

The TUC said: “If wages had gone up as much as the cost of a turkey this Christmas, the average worker would have an extra £76 a week in their pay packet.”

The situation was just as bad for vegetarians whose Christmas dinner bill was calculated to have gone up by 19%
