THE WHOPPERS OF ‘THE SWAPPERS’! - (POEM)

THE WHOPPERS OF ‘THE SWAPPERS’!

The SWP (aka ‘The Swappers’) has been riven by internal
dissent following revelations of lying to cover-up sexual
abuse committed by their leaders on female members.

The Trots intelligentsia,
(The Mensa-like SWP!)
Assert that they’re the vanguard who,
Must lead thick plebs like you and me.
Such Trots plagued with the verbal trots,
Claim that you’re only working-class;
If you wave banners as you march,
Whilst shouting slogans out your arse!

You’re only really ‘For the Proles’,
If selling ‘Worker’ you can quote;
The many mindless mantras that,
You’ve all learned endlessly by rote.
You’re only ‘Revolutionary’,
If you vote Labour (yet again!)
To constantly remind you that,
Reformist votes are all in vain.

As for ‘Transitional Demands’,
Us workers find them such a boon;
Two centuries of nothing else,
And ‘Revolution’ will come soon!
You ain’t no ‘Substitutionist’  (1)
If you, again, kick at the pricks;
And advocate, ad nauseam,
The failed plans of the Bolsheviks!

You’re only a ‘Class Warrior’,
Like those in the SWP;
If you knock coppers helmets off,
Like their clones in the BNP!
You’re all for ‘Feminism’ and,
Especially those ‘Women’s Rights’;
That let girl members get so drunk,
That they ‘forget’ your sexual sleights.

Be ‘Democratic Centralists’,
(And thus engage in ‘Double Speak’)
So you can con the party mob,
And hide rape by the ruling clique.
Shun any ‘Parliamentary Road’,
Be into tactics, plots and guile;
‘Cause free elections are inclined,
To cramp your snide, despotic style.

Shout down all ‘Armchair Socialists’,
Bawl out in sync and raise a stink;
The biggest danger that they pose,
Is asking folk to sit and think.
So Trotskyists take to the streets,
The Revolution cannot wait;
The system must be ‘overthrown’,
So you can run it for the State!

(1) ‘Substitutionism’: Trotsky’s 1904 slogan against
Lenin’s reversal of Marx’s dictum, “The working-class
must emancipate itself”, to that being the Party’s role.
But it didn’t stop him joining  Lenin in 1917 --
nor the SWP pursuing ‘Vanguardism’ ever since.
