The Socialist Standard is the oldest extant socialist journal

The left-wing magazine, 'The Tribune' was recently bought by the owner of The Jacobin and was re-launched at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool.

It falsely describes itself as being 'Britain's Oldest Democratic Socialist Publication' being established in 1937.

That accolade belongs to The Socialist Standard, published without interruption from 1904.

Perhaps the 3-month trial subscription should be mailed to The Jacobin - plus a few to the Houses of Parliament.

Do we want to be described as 'democratic socialist'? Is not this not tautological?

Its just tribune, jacobin and socialist standard not the Tribune, the jacobin or the socialist standard.
