UN Human Rights Investigators Coming To Detroit




United Nations human rights investigators are coming to Detroit on a fact-finding mission to learn more about the shutting off of water and other likely human rights violations. The Special Rapporteur on Human Right to Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation; and the Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing will listen to witnesses describing the situation in Detroit.
town-hall meeting will be held on October 19 from 4-6pm at the Wayne County Community College District downtown campus in the atrium, 1001 West Fort Street.
International and locally known panelists will hear testimony at this town-hall from Michigan residents regarding water, sanitation, and housing issues offered by victims of this crisis.

Panelists will include members from the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the United Nations.
