The Gaza Tragedy Continues

“According to our security needs” is how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describes the current Gaza invasion and why 296 Palestinian children have been killed to fulfill these security needs.

“Children make up for 30 percent of the civilian casualties,” said UNICEF, adding the toll is only rising. “The number of child casualties during the last 48 hours may rise as a number of incidents are pending verification.”

Having previously criticised Hamas for refusing to engage in an earlier Egyptian-brokered truce, Israel now refuses itself to take part in new ceasefire talks in Egypt.

Another UN shelter shelled.

The BBC reports that the so-called peace envoy Tony Blair has also apparently changed plans to attend the talks to discuss a truce. Perhaps his masters in Tel Aviv issued the new instructions?
