A Sunday Times poll found 40% did not trust the clergy to tell the truth.
SOYMB has to tell you, in the bullshit department, a businessman cannot hold a candle to the clergyman. Because when it comes to bullshit, and we mean big-time, premier division bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims that is religion. Little contest.
Religion - the Greatest Bullshit Story Ever Told.
Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people, many of them grown-ups, that there’s this invisible man who lives in the sky and watches everything you do, every minute of the day, checking on whether you do special ten things. If you don’t do these special things called commandments he has a special place for you, full of fire and burning, torture and torment, where he will send you, where you will suffer and scream in agony and anquish forever and forever, for never-ending, ever-lasting eternity. But he says he loves you really.
He also needs money. Even though he is all-powerful, all-knowing and all-wise, somehow he can’t handle money very well. His churches takes in billions, never pays taxes, but still passes around the donation plate for more. And people give. Now, that’s religion!
We don’t want just the bread-crumbs
We don’t even want only the bakery
We want the whole damn wheat-field.
Unbend the knee and rise. Neither god nor master. Banish gods from the sky and the capitalists from the earth.
