UNIVERSAL CREDIT
Ester McVey concedes that many people will be worse
off under the Government’s Universal Credit Scheme.
Forced on the backfoot, Ms. McVey, (1)
Embarrassed, now admits;
That Universal Credit has,
Become more than the pits.
The scheme was to save money for,
The Government's bare pot;
And wasn’t for our benefit,
Or some such specious rot!
George Osborne, Tory Chancellor,
Along with IDS; (2)
Designed it to supposedly,
Replace the former mess.
Now seven lengthy years have passed,
And still a year to go;
Before it's rolled out everywhere,
To universal woe.
And for all those who've been short changed,
HMG has to pay;
Those benefits from yesteryear,
That weren't paid on the day. (3)
The whole scheme further demonstrates,
That when push comes to shove;
We working-people stand to be,
All shat on from above.
(1) Work & Pensions Secretary.
(2) Ian Duncan Smith is renowned for his incompetence.
(3) Approximately £1.75 Billion is to be refunded.
