The Socialist Party view is so long as the mechanics are in place so that a majority of workers can organise to bring about socialism, we should use the electoral process. So far as we're concerned, it is the movement of the vast majority in the interest of the vast majority that matters. The Socialist Party is an independent political party that has been going since 1904. We stand for socialism as a society of common ownership, democratic control and production for use not profit. We are a single issue party and try to put information out to convince people of the merits of socialism. We intend going to parliament as rebels and not as reformers for changing one law here or there is ineffectual.
