The Hallmark For World Democracy?

Only 57.1 percent and 56.8 percent of eligible American voters cast their votes in the 2008 Presidential and Federal elections respectively. Hardly impressive turnouts for a nation which with pretentious chest-thumping arrogance insinuates itself as the hallmark for world democracy.

“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they can do this is by not voting.”
President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945)

“In America, the criminally insane rule and the rest of us, or the vast majority of the rest of us, either do not care, do not know, or are distracted and properly brainwashed into acquiescence.”
Kurt Nimmo, Writer and editor.

Real democracy will only come from:
" The establishment of a system of society based upon the common ownership and democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the interest of the whole community."
SPGB
