Lloyd Blankfein, the CEO of Goldman Sachs "Too much of the GDP over the last generation has gone to too few of the people."

The U.S. has 42% of the world's millionaires, and 49% of those with more than $50 million in assets.  The median (half have more, half have less) wealth of families was $77,300 in 2010, a nearly 40% drop from 2007, according to Federal Reserve statistics. Median household income was $51,017 in 2012, compared to $56,080 in 1999, according to the Census Bureau's most recent statistics.

 Americans' median wealth is a mere $44,900 per adult.
