Tough times at the top?

Princess Michael of Kent has explained how she and her husband have been hit by austerity; meaning they can no longer dine out.
"We’ve cut back dramatically. I mean we never go out to dinner unless we go to somebody’s house. We never go to restaurants. That’s too extravagant."

She also told the interviewer of her love for budget carrier easyJet saying: "it’s the only direct route to Biarritz. We always fly tourist-class anyway in Europe. For long-haul we go club,” she added. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/im-experiencing-austerity-as-well-says-princess-michael-of-kent-8993437.html

Oh, the tribulations of the rich aristocrats but SOYMB wonders is Princess Michael of Kent will be one of the 2.5 million people who will have to borrow money just  to heat their homes this Christmas. Seven million people will be forced to take out a loan to cover extra costs this Christmas. 350,000 - will use a payday loan while nearly 150,000 will turn to an unofficial lender or loan shark.

We wonder exactly what the Princess actually means by austerity.
