Promises, nothing but promises

More good news. The World Bank says we can eradicate extreme poverty by the year 2030. Extreme poverty, mind you , that’s people living on less than $1.25 per day, 1.3 billion people. Of course that is not poverty itself so if you live on $1.50, tough luck.

The World Bank promising to wipe out poverty is like the Devil promising air conditioning in Hell.
Nor will it effect the Queen. She is to receive a £5 million pay rise from £31 million a year to £36.1 million. Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms. These include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. As someone living in social housing, just how much of this benefit is going to be cut for spare rooms under the bedroom tax”. Not to mention Windsor Castle and Holyrood House. Why doesn't she get a fixed 1% raise for 3 years in government benefit. Does Iain Duncan Smith expect her to live on 53 quid a week? She grabs the cash and enlarges her stash.
