Season of Good Cheer

Freddie Mac has suspended foreclosure evictions over the holiday period, roughly 4,000 borrowers .

The mortgage company said it would halt foreclosures from December 20th through Jan 3rd to ensure evictions don't happen during the Christmas period.

Fannie Mae, the sister company to Freddie Mac, has also decided on the same policy.

If a family can’t afford mortgage payments, a few weeks suspension of their eviction process won’t change things.
