The picture of three-year old Alani Kurdi who was washed up from Mediterranean Sea in 2015 created a wave of sympathy for those refugee/migrants so desperate for a safe haven, they would risk death.
We now have the photo of Óscar Alberto Martínez Ramírez, 26, and his 23-month old daughter Valeria, lying face down in river. The toddler’s arm clinging around her father’s neck in her final moments.
Perhaps now, there will more compassion expressed for those on the American-Mexican border.
