Autumn Delegate Meeting (20-21 Oct)

Autumn Delegate Meeting

Socialist Party’s Premises
52 Clapham High Street
London, SW4 7UN
Not only do all the left-wing political parties have leaders but that they compete to provide leadership for the working class. People can be forgiven for thinking that political leadership is an integral part of political life and no society can function without it. Our view in the Socialist Party is very different.
Everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the decision making of a socialist society. The administration of things will replace the government over people. Therefore, a socialist revolution will require the active participation of a majority of class-conscious workers who understand the need to replace capitalism with socialism. Workers cannot be led into socialism, however ‘revolutionary’ the leadership is. This is why the Socialist Party is organised without leaders. Decision-making is controlled by the membership via our Annual Conferences and Autumn Delegate Meeting. All our gatherings are open to the public and we heartily welcome visitors to witness our democracy in action. Come along and see for yourself.
