The Privileged Few

Maya Henry from San Antonio, Texas, held her 15th birthday party on Feb. 12 at a 55,000-square-foot venue that included 30-foot-tall blossoming cherry trees, walls of roses, fountains, fake peacocks, a garden room and a ballroom filled with butterflies hanging from the ceiling. Her father spent $6 million dollars on a party that included guest performances by both Nick Jonas and Pitbull. Each entertainer performed for an hour. Thomas J. Henry, owns a personal injury law firm that employs over 60 attorneys. The company, which describes itself as “one of the biggest plaintiff’s firms in Texas,” is based in Texas and serves clients all over the country. Thomas Henry and his wife Azteca Henry said that they “wanted to give Maya an unforgettable night to mark her transition into young adulthood. Maya is an incredible young woman who has already accomplished a great deal in her life… we were happy to do this for her.”

Their daughter was dressed to impress in two pink $20,000 dresses, one by designer Rolando Santana. Her makeup was done by artist Patrick Ta, who has worked with the Kardashian family. To capture the big moment, the Henrys hired photographer Donna Newman, who has had notable clients such as actor Matt Damon and First Lady Michelle Obama. The lavish birthday party was attended by 600 guests (all 600 revelers took home custom mini raspberry cakes created by The Fashion Chef ) and coordinated by New York social event planner David Monn as well as a team of 150 event planners. The Henry family arrived in nine Rolls Royces that were escorted by police.

Maya Henry is no stranger to the celebrity scene — she’s posted pictures of her time spent with Justin Bieber, One Direction, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and, of course, Democratic presidential candidate and High Society member, Hillary Clinton.
