THE WORLD’S BEEN SAVED FROM CLIMATE CHANGE!

Following last weekend’s Paris climate deal, the government,

will not say whether it will still cut solar subsidies by 90%.

The world’s been saved from climate change,

The pact has now been signed;

But vested interests will arrange,

To have it undermined.

The pressure of the market place,

Will always trump good deeds;

And it’ll always be the case,

That profits top real needs.

The cost to the economy,

Will always be too much;

And Number Ten quite pliantly,

Will loosen the pact’s clutch.

So don’t be disappointed when,

The government falls short;

As everyone will know by then,

We’ve once again been caught!
